GID CLUB

Debate competition

On the 18th of July, 2012 the IIPM Delhi campus evinced a Green milieu. The GID club had organized a brilliant debate on “The ongoing ‘Go Green’ campaign is just a political gimmick”. The teams were divided into two groups, who either spoke “For” or “Against” the motion. Each group consisted of 4 speakers and 4 interjectors. The esteem judges of the event were Mr.Steven Philip Warner (Editor, Business & Economy of Planman Media) and Prof. Pushp Lamba. The debate had stirred a strong argument amongst the 2 teams, who left no stone unturned while raising points that were strategically presented in order to prevail over the other side. The room was flooded with various views and ideologies. In the end, our two esteemed judges addressed the crowd and enlightened the students with their feedback. The spectators were very enthusiastic, as they were given the opportunity to put forth their point of view as well during the debate. Winners of the event were Vandana Dahiya, Soham Mukhopadhyay, Surendra Reddy, Anjana, Aanchal Chaudhari and Sudipto Bagchi. It was a classic learning experience for every one present during the event. It was rather a flow of precious experience from “The Managers” To the “Budding Managers”.
